Goodbye Kindergarten
Hard to believe Kindergarten is already in the books. I admit the first few weeks going to school with tears (Ben, not me...ok, maybe me a little) weren't easy, but it's amazing how quickly that shifted into I'm a big kid and this school stuff is old habit. It still doesn't seem like I should have a child in school, but it's fun to see him in this element. Definitely a whole new adventure!
Ben's class had a little 'graduation celebration' in their classroom.
Getting ready for their little program.
Ben has been waiting for this special day...mostly so he could wear his tie. :)

Getting his diploma.
It's official!

The year wasn't without it's challenges...a few calls to home, a trip or 2 to the principal (you know, boy stuff...you can't wrestle/hit your friends, or write on their clothes with marker, a bloody nose, a black eye, scraped elbow because a 5th grader whizzed by you on the blacktop), but he did a lot of growing and changing through the school year and we're very proud of him. He counts to 100 (by 1's, 2's, 5's & 10's) can read first books, and has a big heart for making friends and keeping a pretty busy social life.

Gramma & Jenny
Gramma & Jenny were in town for a wedding so we got to have some fun hang time with them.
About 5 min after I told them their were kids outside playing and they both insisted I take off the polish before they went out. Whew, no permanent damage done.
Gramma's up for anything.
Gramma was painting her nails so the boys wanted in on it. They tried to find the 'boyest' color they could and decided on orange (not coral :).

T-ball
We let Ben pick whether he wanted to play soccer or t-ball this spring and he picked t-ball so he played on a 6-8 yr old team. Much improved from 2 years ago when he played! He has really gotten into it and has bugged his dad to go out back and play catch most nights. I went out and played with him one night and he almost rolled the ball to me. It took me a bit to convince him he really could throw it...I might not have an arm quite up to speed with Dad, but I like to think I could play catch with my 6 year old. :)

Cousin Pitstop
Jada and the girls were in Bozeman doing some visiting so we had them out for a fun little barbeque. They don't make it up this way that often so we loved being able to spend some time with them.
Zach (3) and Josie (22 months)
Josie was a big fan of the puppies. You can tell she's a little farm girl at heart!
Ella & Ben pcking up where they left off.
