Happy 80th Great Grampa!

A bunch of the family was home over the weekend to help celebrate Ben's Great Grampa Begger's 80th birthday... Happy Birthday Grampa!

Some of the grandkids and great-grandkids that were able to make it home. Fun fact - on Grampa's 80th birthday there was a total family count (including children, spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren) of 80!

Fun with Cousins

We went home over the weekend to celebrate Ben's Great Grampa Begger's 80th birthday...lots of great time with family and of course Ben always loves getting together with his cousins.



Our big surprise was that Tate & Annie were able to get back from Denver in time so we could enjoy the weekend with them. Tate looks awesome...here he is reading books to Ben.

There was lots of 4-wheeler rides throughout the weekend. Ben was a little skiddish at first...

...but once we forced him on a ride it was hard to get him off!

Yard Work

We took on the project of stripping our fence to restain it this summer and Ben thinks it's a lot more fun than we do! Hard to believe this fence was a barn red color before we got a hold of it.

So I have this old pair of canvas shoes with colored hearts all over them that I got for an 80's party...they are in the way back of my closet and Ben always manages to go in and dig them out to prance around in them. To top it off, the other day I was paiting my toenails and he wanted his done so he had pretty pink toes to go with his heels...and biker shirt. :)

No pictures to post (they probably wouldn't be pleasant :), but thought I would let you know that at this point, we think Ben wants to be a vet when he grows up. Nick was up in Conrad at our friend Robbie's wedding and Ben and I were just getting ready to head out the door to go up there when I realized the bottle of grass-saver pills we feed our dogs was empty. It dawned on me that about an hour earlier when I thought I just heard Ben dumping some dog food in the dish for Moka that it was really a bottle of about 100 pills. They must taste good because Moka didn't leave any evidence. So we had to call the vet and ended up staying home to keep an eye on Moka. We did get her to throw most of the pills up (not an enjoyable process... plus I wasn't sure if Oakley got into any of it so both poor girls had to go through it). Ben has seen us feed the dogs these so he thought he was a BIG help I'm sure. Everyone came through the overdose ok...we just may have to redirect Ben's career path. :)
