Hood River

Nick's cousin Michael got married out in Trout Lake WA...so we went out and spent some time in Hood River OR (just across the bridge from WA) too.

They had a little golf outing when we got into town...the boys & I tagged along.  Jerry & Stella golfed in our group...Stella had fun giving the boys some pointers.

You can see here how Ben is concentrating on his hand position that Stella showed him!

Don't worry Ben...I call these practice shots.  :)

Sometimes just mastering getting the ball to stay on the tee is tough enough.

Nick & Jerry getting ready.

Some of the other group looking on.

A golf course is a little boys dream...sometimes it was challenging keeping them rounded up and out of the way...we did what we could.

One of the popular attractions in Hood River is all the kite surfers down on the river so we went and watched and played in the water a little.

Ben loved 'the beach'...I can't wait to take them to the ocean someday.

I went back to the car for the swim trunks, but Zach just couldn't wait so he sported the drenched shorts and droopy diaper...thanks Dad.

I hated the little toll bridge that we had to cross back & forth from OR to WA...it was made out of grated metal that pulled...and only inches to spare on each side.  The view was great though!

Some friends of Megan's Grandparents were kind enough to lend out their house while they were out of town so we were fortunate to have a beautiful place to stay just outside of Trout Lake.

This is the view from the living room...Mt. Adams in the backdrop.
