Bball Star

Ben played K-1 basketball through the & this winter and loved it.  He was playing with some kids that have played on a few leagues already, but he did so good and improved so much from game 1 to game 7.  Here are some shots from his last game.  We even had a little Ben cheering section for this one.

The Timberwolves.

With Coach Zach.  One of the Dad's helped coach/ref on the floor, but there were 2 college volunteers (Zach & Kennedy) who helped and were so good with the kids.

The kids wear colored sweat armbands so they know who they are guarding.

The 'crowd'

Zach pestering Uncle Cory.

And he's off...he came a long way from game 1 when he didn't really even 'want' the basll.

I just have to comment on this little girl that Ben guarded quite a bit...she ALWAYS had this smile on her face...and she was a good little player.  I'm convinced we'll see her in the WNBA someday.  If only we knew her name...and had gotten her autograph.  :)

Zach needs a break from bball now and then...thank goodness for the Leapster.

My beautiful nieces...Abby...

and Grace.

Getting some air.  :)

Take advantage of your height Ben!

Zach loves his Papa.

D 'er up Ben!

Ben didn't know any of these kids when he started the league.  It didn't take him long to be high-fiving (and yes, hugging) everyone.

So proud of you Ben.  He's gotten so into it he's been playing all the time at home.  We asked him what he wanted to play next and he said more basketball.

I don't know who was more excited...Gramma & Grampa that they got to see a game, or Ben that they were there.  He kept looking over at all of us watching.  :)
